Participant that “broke through” with their performance. Considerations might include: a first time competitor; someone who pushed to surf this location; someone who dramatically improved from past year performances.

Awarded to the Competitor whose submission receives the most public votes on the Contest website.

This goes out to the surfer with the biggest wave, paddle or tow.

Submission Rules:
1. Two different photo angles and one video angle with date and time stamp for verification.
2. These awards are open to men and women, and will have awards for both in each category
3. All submissions must be in by midnight Hawaii time on February 28. No exceptions!
4. Athletes and photographers must sign a contract that allows us to use their photos and names along with their submissions.
5. All rides must be a “complete ride”, meaning ride the wave to the channel or kick out, to be considered for an award, with exceptions to “wipe out” submissions.
